The Salomon Foundation endowment fund (the “Foundation”) publishes the website www.fondation-salomon.org (the “Site”), the purpose of which is to:
- support, by the Foundation, of associations that enable disadvantaged or marginalized individuals to participate in outdoor sports (the “Associations”);
- support, by the Salomon Foundation Support (a foundation under the umbrella of the Fondation de France), mountain professionals facing difficulties (e.g., accident, illness—the “Mountain Professional(s)”) and the management of donations made via the Site.
In this context, the Foundation, 14 chemin des Croiselets ZA des Croiselets, 74370 Epagny Metz Tessy, France, and the Fondation de France, 40 avenue Hoche – 75008 Paris, process, in their capacity as controllers, the personal data of Mountain Professionals and users of the Site (the “User(s)”) where applicable.
A contact form available on the Site also allows you to submit your questions. These requests are processed by the Foundation in its capacity as controller.
These data processing operations are carried out in accordance with Regulation No. 2016/679 of April 27, 2016, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), and the amended French Data Protection Act (together, the “Applicable Data Protection Regulations”).

Your personal data is processed by the Foundation to manage requests submitted via the contact form at and to manage requests submitted by Mountain Professionals at. The legal basis for this processing is the Foundation’s legitimate interest in carrying out its activities.

Your personal data is accessible to:
- internal Foundation staff who need access to it in the course of their duties and strictly within the scope of their functions and responsibilities;
- service providers acting as processors for the Foundation and in accordance with its instructions;

The Fondation de France may process the following categories of personal data that you provide either when making a donation or when you request its support as a Mountain Professional:

- Contact information (mailing address, email, and phone number);
- Personal life (e.g., family situation, dependents, personal circumstances);
- Professional life (e.g., occupation, professional license number, assistance provided by a solidarity fund);
- Payment method details.
2. Purpose(s) and legal basis(es) for the processing of your personal data
Your personal data is processed by the Fondation de France in order to:
- manage donations and donor relations: the legal basis for this processing is compliance with a legal obligation regarding the issuance of tax receipts and the legitimate interest of the Fondation de France, specifically its interest in retaining its donors and conducting analyses of the donations collected;
- manage the process of selecting, evaluating, and implementing projects: the legal basis for this processing is the legitimate interest of the Fondation de France, specifically its interest in reviewing the funding applications it receives, providing updates on their progress, and funding the selected projects;
- to conduct communication campaigns and fundraising appeals: the legal basis for this processing is the legitimate interest of the Fondation de France, specifically its interest in communicating information about its activities, raising funds in accordance with its statutory purpose, and measuring the performance of marketing campaigns;
- to manage and monitor the processing of donations: the legal basis for this processing is the legitimate interest of the Fondation de France, specifically its interest in handling the donation applications it receives and ensuring the traceability of their processing.

In connection with such transfers, the Fondation de France undertakes to enter into standard contractual clauses with the relevant third parties to ensure an adequate level of protection for your personal data.

In accordance with applicable data protection regulations, you have the right, where applicable, to access, correct, and delete your data. Where applicable, you also have the right to restrict processing, the right to object, and the right to provide instructions regarding the handling of your data after your death.
