Who they are
Kabubu is a French non-profit founded in 2018 that promotes the social and professional inclusion of displaced people through sport.
Kabubu organizes free and open sports activities (football, basketball, boxing, yoga, running, etc.) in Paris, Lyon, and Strasbourg, with the aim of creating social connections between displaced people and local communities. Kabubu focuses on building lasting relationships, valuing skills, and providing access to social and professional opportunities through sport, helping to reduce isolation and support integration.
The organization also develops professional training programs to support displaced people in accessing careers in the sports sector, as well as building awareness on issues facing migrant communities.
Why it Matters
For people in exile, rebuilding a life often begins with reconnecting with others and regaining a sense of belonging. By using sport as a universal language, Kabubu creates spaces where barriers dissolve, relationships form, and trust can grow.
Beyond social connection, the organization opens real pathways toward professional integration, helping individuals regain confidence, recognize their skills, and access new opportunities. In a context where isolation and exclusion remain major challenges, Kabubu plays a key role in fostering inclusion, dignity, and long-term integration within society.
