Indigenous Women Outdoors

Who they are

Indigenous Women Outdoors is a non-profit organization that brings Indigenous women together through movement and shared outdoor experiences, with the aim of strengthening connections with one another and with the natural environment.
Through accessible outdoor activities, the organization creates safe and supportive spaces that foster connection, well-being, cultural expression, and reconnection with the land. These collective experiences encourage a deep relationship with nature while honoring Indigenous knowledge, cultures, and identities.

Testimony

The Salomon Foundation has supported Indigenous Women Outdoors’ road and trail running programs for the past three years. This collaboration has grown over time and is grounded in mutual respect, listening, and reciprocity.
This support enables us to further develop our initiatives and strengthen spaces for connection and shared experiences for Indigenous women, in close relationship with the natural environment.
