Where do we come from : "La Fondation Salomon"

Launched in 1999 by Georges Salomon himself.

A simple idea. To give back to the mountains by helping mountain professionals in need.

Between 1999 and 2023, we helped more than 400 people, mostly in France, donating more than 1,400,000€.

What have we learned along the way?

That we don’t only provide a financial support, but also a moral one by being close to our beneficiaries on the long term.

The efficiency of our actions & support are “overperforming” as soon as we create a long-lasting relationship with our beneficiaries but also the institutions we are cooperating with.

"Transform people's lives through Mountain Sports"

In 2023, we extended our actions to contribute to organizations all around the world that help disadvantaged communities by giving them access to outdoor sports, while continuing supporting mountain professionals in need.

We select NGOs working towards DIVERSITY / DISABILITY / EDUCATION.

Our golden rules?

• We develop long term relationships with the NGOs (min 3 years)
• We are not donating, we are cooperating ( we know them, we help them to develop projects)
• We are cooperating with local / human-sized association
• Most of them have a touchpoint with Salomon ( subsidiaries, athletes, employees,…)
