Cimas de la Esperanza
The Emilia y Valeria A.C. Foundation supports people who have survived cancer as well as those still undergoing treatment, through several programs, including Cimas de la Esperanza. Its mission is to demonstrate that there is life after cancer, regardless of the physical or psychological effects the illness may leave behind. The mountains are used as a space for learning and transformation, where young people develop resilience, acceptance, and the confidence needed to move forward. With every summit reached, a shared message is carried: “There is life after cancer.”

The relationship between Cimas de la Esperanza and Salomon began three years ago, when the Salomon Foundation chose to support the program led by the association.
Since then, this partnership has developed over time through regular exchanges and shared mountain experiences, both in Europe and in Mexico. Joint ascents in the Alps and on Pico de Orizaba, the highest mountain in Mexico, have strengthened the bonds between the teams and fostered a collaboration built on trust and shared commitment.
Salomon’s support helps finance an essential part of the Cimas de la Esperanza program and provides the equipment necessary for the ascents. Beyond material support, this partnership is based on a lasting human relationship, driven by a shared passion for the mountains and common values.
